This congregation began as a mission effort of the Great Oaks Church of Christ to glorify God. When Great Oaks first began in 1992, it was the elders’ intention to plant a church once the congregation reached a certain size. Over the years, God has blessed Great Oaks with growth. After much prayer, it was decided to plant a church in the Arlington area, given the growth it has had and will continue to have in the upcoming years.

Donelson Oaks Church of Christ is a congregation made up of imperfect people who look to Jesus Christ as the ultimate example of life on Earth. With the teachings of Scripture as a guide, we seek to be a Christ-centered, Bible-based, and family-oriented church that is committed to God, each other, and our community. Our beliefs are based on the pattern of the New Testament. Our faith is rooted in the blessings we have through the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, which we access through baptism into Christ.

We met for our first worship service on April 6, 2025, in a classroom at the Great Oaks Church of Christ. We had 52 in attendance on that day and will continue to worship at Great Oaks each Sunday until August 2025. We will transition and meet for the first time in Arlington on August 10, 2025 at an event and wedding venue located at 12055 Donelson Rd, Arlington, TN 38002.
